Try this--ask him to sit down and have a discussion about it. he may or may not stop but it is NOT worth fighting over. TRUE friends should honor your request to sit and chat about it. BUT--you don't know how it will turn out. If he says he isn't or he is really trying to get your girl, then he isn't a friend and you need to tell him so. IF she wants to flirt back with him--drop her--you are wasting your time. A true girl friend doesn't flirt when she is dating a man. Be smart about this and do the right thing. ask your best friend say hey are we best friends? cuz i just think you should know i find it annoying an unsettling the way you flirt with my bf an i dont like it. leave that in her lap .. if she says i am your best freind then say good please act it.. if she says i am not flriting with ur bf ur nuts etc then shes making a defense an thas not what ya asked her you asked her is she your best friend.. yes or no .. as you want ot be able to coexist between you her and your bf . if she doesnt stop her flirting and be specific what exactly you call flirting an actions then you will not be able to be her friend as friend do not do this.
tell him you know hes not serious but it kinda pisses you off... and if he doesnt stop then tell him again, and if he still proceeds to flirt with your girlfriend tell him if he does it one more time you are going to punch him in the face or do his mom.... seems fair?

My guess is you want to say it nicely though because you don't want to lose him as a friend.

its really hard to stop flirting with someone you like.
Your problem isnt him flirting with your gf. It's that you call this person your best friend. Maybe you should pick better friends.
try talking to your best friend and tell him to chill out because that not cool. and if your best dont stop they are not a true best friend
