How to know if your good friend is interested in becoming your girlfriend.?

I've know this girl for 6 years now or so and were good friends. Ive been interested in her for along time. I just recently broke up with my last girlfriend that was kind of a serious relationship and we always fought about what she said was me and this girl flirting. I cant tell if shes flirting and im really shy so I am very confused. We look into each others eyes a fair amount and some days shes really touchy %26amp; flirty and other days she seems normal. We hang out a fair amount both alone and with other friends. I would like to be able to make the first move but am a big pansy about it and dont want to hurt our friendship 2. I'm not sure how to go about this too because ive only had a few girlfriends and most of them made the first move but I think this girl is shy too. Im in a similar situation , iv knew this girl for 4 years , we were close at first , we stopped talking for a year , then i have changed my appearance , weight , hair , everything dramiticallly , iv always been told my personality is brilliant and i make most girls feel special without knowing im doing it .I Never talk to this girl in school , however .. i talk to her alot on msn and in person ... so the best thing to do is, find a time , when your not in school , when your with her by herself , or on msn and just ask her if she feels more for you then just friendship and if she says yes , tell her you feel the same , and try and spend time with her at your house or a place where the 2 of you can bond ... this girl and me have started bonding at my house , just watching films and lying on each other ... im sure if you ask her ur friendship will be fine .
